This book has many elements that keep you hooked. Adventure, mystery, plus strong and appealing characters. I was very impressed by not only the pace of this story but by the well-written dialogue. Throughout the story, the chapters bounce from Kristina’s point of view to ‘Tiger’ and I honestly enjoyed both immensely. While I usually come to prefer the POV of one character, I thought the chemistry between them really set this book apart.

The differences in characters and their unique personalities were really well done and it became incredibly easy to become attached to them and become immersed in this modern supernatural thriller. Despite their initial weariness of each other after Kristina saves Tiger, their trust and relationship continues to grow. Kristina is thrown into a new and dangerous world and Tiger is simply thrown into the world (period). I loved Kristina’s no-nonsense personality and logical thinking. While Tiger has incredible abilities and the tutoring of the world from the mysterious Castiel, he retains a unique innocence that becomes clear to Kristina. Together they go on a journey to stop the Institute and their vicious experiments.

I absolutely recommend this book to read next on your list. It is packed with sweet moments that I loved and very intense action that had me sitting up straight. Wonderful writing. Engaging storyline. Lovable Characters. 5 stars.
